**B2B Banking Services**

B2B Banking Services are at the core of Sygnum. We help our partners build a comprehensive digital asset offering to their clients by providing a set of various APIs. Our team acts as linchpin within the company and we are well connected: we mostly work at the backend but also have the pleasure of staying connected to our users. This unique set-up allows us to directly incorporate user feedback into our roadmap to further expand and shape the API offering.

**The role**

As a tech lead for B2B, you are comfortable wearing two hats: tech and management.

With the technical, you will:

- Manage the whole lifecycle of APIs for B2B clients
- Drive and own the Sygnum API solutions.
- Act as technical point of contact for our partner banks to facilitate their integration endeavors
- Collaborate with solution architects and security specialist to constantly enhance and automate the quality, security and documentation of our APIs
- Lead a team of software engineers to develop and own state-of-the-art API solutions
- Contribute to writing and reviewing high quality and secured code covered by tests
- Work with platform engineers to improve CI/CD pipelines and release processes
- Work with SRE engineers to improve the availability, resilience, and observability of the systems owned by your team

With the managerial, you will:

- Coach and mentor software engineers in the team
- Improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the team
- Partner with product managers and stakeholders to plan new features and improvements
- Drive blameless retros and post-mortems that help the team learn from mistakes
- Promote a psychologically safe space where everyone feels comfortable to speak up and contribute to improving things

Some light travel to client facilities is expected for workshops and requirements gathering.

- You are comfortable taking ownership of the whole development lifecycle, from designing solutions to running systems in production

**Few things that will help on the job**
- Experience in the whole lifecycle (design, security, versioning, documentation, scalability) of APIs that are used by external clients as well as internal teams
- Solid understanding of API gateways, transport layer security, exposure of services to public.
- Understanding microservices, event driven architecture and being able to implement complex functionality in different languages such as Typescript (NestJS) or Java (Spring / Quarkus)
- Experienced in AWS, Kubernetes, and Kafka. Knowing database technologies is a plus
- Good level of written and spoken German would be considered an advantage
- Experienced with REST and Websockets, FIX protocol is considered an advantage
