**Your Tasks**
- Leadership, organization and development of the event marketing team
- Execute and strengthen event management activities
- Ensure strong, cohesive event messaging
- Drive event analytics and reporting

**Areas of responsibility**:

- Coach, empower and develop the event marketing team
- Manage team performance and monitor progress to achieve group goals and KPIs
- Conduct or enable trainings to continuously develop the team’s skills
- Improve team communication, enabling information exchange and idea generation
- Create, streamline and/or update event management processes
- Control the event marketing budget
- Execute and strengthen event management activities:

- In-person exhibitions, conferences & other events
- Create and implement the annual event strategy
- Ensure close collaboration with sales and BD to select, execute and analyze the event strategy
- Design, maintain and update the Bachem tradeshow booth, coordinating internal and external stakeholders for alignment and support
- Ensure the sales & marketing teams are trained on booth set-up
- Maximize and improve event presence, taking advantage of promotional activities such as presentations, talks, advertising, etc. wherever possible
- Virtual exhibitions
- Design, maintain and update the Bachem virtual showroom, coordinating internal and external stakeholders for alignment and support
- Ensure the sales & marketing teams are trained on virtual showroom features, such as chat and engagement tools, and fully prepared to engage with customers
- Webinars
- Create and implement the webinar strategy, for webinars taking place both at exhibitions, conferences, and other events, as well as standalone webinars hosted by Bachem, in alignment with science marketing
- Ensure key stakeholders such as sales, marketing and any speakers are trained on the webinar platform, using audience engagement tools when possible and ensuring an enjoyable and interactive customer experience, in alignment with science marketing
- Ensure strong, cohesive event messaging
- Event branding
- Ensure clear, consistent branding is used across event activities (including backdrops, print or digital advertisements, etc.) in coordination with the digital marketing team
- Ensure relevant company messaging or campaign messaging is used where appropriate, in coordination with internal stakeholders
- Event materials
- Ensure appropriate print materials are available on stock to support the event messaging and provide resources to the sales team
- Ensure that customer gifts (giveaways) are available, maintained and updated as necessary

**Event communication**
- Ensure the wider Bachem team is informed of upcoming activities

**Drive event analytics and reporting**
- Measure and report performance of all events, analyzing ROI and assessing against defined KPIs
- Prepare detailed event reports to share with the wider organization, sharing information on event performance (ex. lead generation), competitor activities, industry news, etc.
- Based on post-event analysis make recommendations / share takeaways to the organization and push for continuous improvement

**Basic requirements**

BS in Marketing or Event Management

**Education**:
**Professional, management or project experience**
- At least 5 years’ experience in marketing or event management
- Prior experience working in the industry of life sciences, chemistry, bio sciences or pharmaceutical is valued
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Experience in leading a team or working within a matrix organization
- Experience in project management
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

**Languages / IT Experience**
- Fluent in English and German
- Knowledgeable with Adobe CC suite such as Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and Premiere Pro
- Knowledge of Alchemer (Survey Gizmo) or similar survey tools
- Experience with webinar tools such as Zoom, ON24 or similar tools
- Experience with Salesforce is valued
- Experience with SAP is valued
