The accounting department is part of the Central Services that supports the market-oriented divisions of Comet Group.

Due to a vacancy opening up within our accounting team, we are looking for a hands-on and customer-oriented personality for our Service Center at our headquarter in Flamatt near Bern as a** Head of Accounting 100% (m/w/d).**

**What will you do?**
- Effectively ensuring the accounting and month-end closing process of Comet AG and Comet Holding AG in accordance with the Swiss Code of Obligations and IFRS, including reporting to Group Accounting
- Responsible for keeping the general ledger and all sub-ledgers (accounts payable, accounts receivable and fixed assets)
- Personnel and technical management of the accounting team (5 employees), including target-related support and further development in accordance with our management principles
- Management of the closing process and corresponding tasks in close cooperation with the local controlling team as well as the accounting team of the subsidiaries
- Ensuring legal, accounting and tax requirements are met, including reporting to the relevant authorities
- Maintenance and ongoing optimization of systems and processes (SAP, Hyperion, ICS, manuals, etc.)
- Close cooperation with internal and external auditors
- Participation in group-wide finance projects

**Who are we looking for?**
- Bachelor/Master degree in Finance & Accounting or comparable
- Preferably an additional specialist focus as accounting and controlling expert or fiduciary expert/ auditor
- Several years of professional experience in accounting, ideally in an international environment
- Initial personnel management experience is a prerequisite
- Strong team player personality with a strong implementation mentality
- Very good knowledge of German and English, both written and spoken
