**100 % **:The Center of Experimental Rheumatology Zurich at the Institute of Rheumatology, University Hospital Zurich belongs to the world leading institutes in the study of stromal changes in chronic inflammatory joint diseases and analyses epigenetic, transcriptional and functional changes of synovial fibroblasts in patient's samples.

**Your responsibilities**: The current position comprises the analysis of synovial fibroblast activation in 2D and 3D. Functional co-culture experiments with synovial fibroblasts and other relevant cell types (monocytes/macrophages, endothelial cell, lymphocytes) will be developed in 2D and 3D culture systems. Analysis will be done using high-content imaging, multiplex immunofluorescence staining, single-cell and bulk transcriptome measurements and measurements of soluble factors by Multiplex Luminex® Assays.

**Your profile**: We are looking for a highly-motivated research assistant with strong expertise in imaging techniques and molecular-biology methods and willingness to establish new methods in the lab.

Specific qualifications include:

- Strong background in imaging techniques, ideally with experience in high-content imaging (CellInsight CX7 or similar)
- Longstanding experience in cell culture and standard molecular biology techniques (FACS, Western blotting, qPCR, ELISA, etc.)
- Ability to work independently, high problem-solving skills and strong motivation to learn and establish new methods and protocols
- High interpersonal, intercultural and social competence with cross-disciplinary aptitude
- Ability to keep a detailed research log and summarize work in research reports, presentations, abstracts and manuscripts
- Fluent in oral and written English
