We are seeking to fill a tenure track assistant professorship in human development, starting in the fall semester of 2025 or by arrangement.
**Your position**
The professorship to be filled conducts excellent research in the field of developmental psychology and teaches (4 semester hours per week) in the Bachelor's and Master's degree programs (in the fields of developmental and differential psychology). Through studies, publications, and third-party funding, the professorship will make a significant contribution to raising the profile of the research focus Society & Choice.
The professorship of Human Development investigates the development and change of human experience and behavior over time from a psychological perspective, examining the entire lifespan and focusing on the study of cognitive and social development processes. Possible research topics of this professorship may be in one of the following three areas of developmental psychology: (1) School psychology and (digital) learning; (2) Dealing with social media or media skills training; (3) Development and promotion of social skills. Furthermore, research into successful interventions for the positive development of children, adolescents, and adults may receive particular attention. With a focus on the psychology of human development, the professorship Human Development will establish their own research program and create links to faculty, university, and regional units and institutions.
