Demand and Supply Planner (1 Year Temporary Contract) - Vans

Let’s Talk about the Role

As a Demand and Supply Planner you will take part in a cross-functional process that involves all business departments with a strong level of interaction inside the Brands.

As Demand Planner you will be responsible for analysing information regarding budget, sales history, sales/market input and current sales order to produce an accurate future sales forecast at style color level/sku.

And as Supply Planner you will be responsible of all activities linked to the Buying process: buy plan, buy quantity definition against productions requirements and inventory situation, buy confirmation process, negotiation with Sourcing office and Global team.

How You Will Make a Difference
- Forecasting_
- Updates forecast at style and colour level for the assigned collections and provides updated forecast data to different teams (Regional Supply planning, Global planning, Sourcing team).
- Phases the demand and generates size curve for both Prebook and Reorder business.
- Work with Merchandising and DTC team on the creation of the seasonal forecast.
- Respect Global deadlines and share EMEA forecast plan to Global and Sourcing team.

Supply/Buy Planning
- Translate Forecast into ‘Buy plans’, shared with Sourcing teams & Global teams prior and during the Buying season.
- Analyse and plan buy against production requirements (factory capacity, lead times and minimums) in order to achieve maximum sales with mínimal inventory exposure.
- Buy Planning: define buys at sku level, based on current inventory levels, open purchase orders, production constraints (i.e. MOQ, lead times), potential capacity constraints and other parameters (i.e. safety stock, quick turn replenishments).

Master Data / SAP
- Manage / coordinate styles set up on specific parameters.
- Execute Inventory Class updates (product life cycle) based on VF and Brand rules (multiple times per year).
- Contribute to creation of seasonal buy calendar and other dates relevant for Planning.
- Ensure Line Plans updates are correctly reflected in SAP and Planning tool.
- Reporting and Analysis_
- Conduct qualitative & quantitative analysis to highlight trends, opportunities and performances related both to product lines and distribution channels.
- Generate collection analysis and update master databases.
- Provide regular input on issues, analyse, and suggest possible system improvements and enhancements.
- Maps forecast accuracy by product segmentation and channel.
- Analyse historical seasonal line efficiency and work with Merchandising team on SKU count and efficiency target for the future seasons.
- Ensure Planning KPI’s are met Order Coverage, Shortages, Excess, Upcharge by category.
- Generate collection analysis and update master databases.
- Track Buy Plan Accuracy for assigned Brand/category; perform seasonal root cause analysis to identify learnings to be applied to future seasons.
- Relationships_
- Work closely with Merchandising to efficiently manage the assortment.
- Work with Finance to align on long term plan and financial target.
- Close interaction with multi-channel ops to gather Commercial inputs
- Cooperate with Global counterparts to consolidate and align on medium/long plan.
- Work closely with sourcing team.

Skills for Success

You should be a team player but is also able to work independently and have ideally 1 year of experience in an analytical role with:

- Good knowledge of information systems and ability to work with high volume data
- An analytical mindset with the ability to interpret and challenge complex data whilst respecting deadlines
- High proficiency in _Microsoft Office _products_ (Excel is essential and SAP, Tableau, TXT and Cognos platform are a plus)_
- Strong communication skills who can communicate in English - written and spoken (Italian is also an asset)
- Good peer to peer collaboration experience with stakeholders of all different levels and backgrounds
- The ability to prioritize workload and liaise with other departments/teams within the business
- A flexible attitude and thinking style with the ability to work within a dynamic working environment where priorities frequently change, whilst meeting key deadlines
