Global Vice President of Supply Chain

We are looking for an accomplished professional in Sourcing and Supply Chain Management with in-depth detailed knowledge as well as strategic thinking. You will also play a key leadership role within the global organization and work with passionate leaders around the world.

**Responsibilities**:
Supply Chain:
- Interface between Sourcing, Manufacturing, Marketing and the global commercial teams to ensure highest customer service levels at optimized inventory levels and lowest transportation and logistics costs.- Responsible for Global Supply Chain Planning as well as Managing Operations of the global Supply Chain network- Lead the development and rollout of a new S&OP process and the continued improvement of S&OP- Build an effective global Supply Chain organization & implement and lead Global Demand and Supply best practices, incl. Global Supply Planning Analytics- Manage and optimize the Network of Warehouses and DCs incl. 3PL- Identify best distribution practices and deploying standardized logistics initiatives and solutions- Lead freight and export management- Support successful commercial launch of the company products by establishing state of the art phase-in / Phase - out planning and close collaboration between R&D, Marketing, Manufacturing, Sourcing and commercial teams

Sourcing:
- Development of a global Sourcing & Purchasing strategy- Manage Global Direct Materials Sourcing Function- Responsible for performance of global spend across all categories as well as the setting of and achievement of the relevant objectives- Business Process Owner for Global Category Management, Global Strategies as well as Contracting- Provide forward looking guidance on trends, threats and opportunities- Assures bottom up alignment of site/categories with Medela targets- Interface to R&D for Sourcing activities along with the Production Development Process as well as Innovation Process- Act as a change agent in regards to main stakeholders- Direct and functional management of the global materials sourcing team

Your qualifications- Bachelor of Business. Minimum 10 + years experience in Global Supply Chain & Sourcing- Proven track record in setting up and/or significantly improving global SC planning processes and tools- Deep knowledge of supply chain principles and strategies.- Extensive experience in managing integrated operations value steams (sourcing, manufacturing, supply chain)- Extensive international management experience in building up competitive international teams- Knowledge of ISO13485, QSR and GMP requirements- Experience in Healthcare or other regulated industries is a plus- Strong computer skills, especially with ERP systems and Excel- Strong analytical skills- Very good knowledge of business processes and SAP latest technology- Excellent verbal and written communications skills- Fluent in English;- Positive leadership track record- Ability to travel up to 30 - 50% internationally of the work time
