In order to reinforce the Engineering team in Basel we are currently recruiting for an

**Engineering Project manager**

The Engineering Project manager is responsible for leading a multi-disciplined group of engineering employees, as well as external outsourcing partners, with diverse skills, assuming responsibility for the on-time/on-schedule delivery of engineering tasks. You will be utilizing creative and mature engineering judgement, managing complex engineering problems, while acting within a matrixial organization. As Jet Aviation’s Engineering Project Manager, you will determine project objectives and requirements, organize and estimate work scope of project, coordinating all engineering activities on a project in terms of workflow, schedule, cost and risk. Furthermore, you will monitor cost, schedule and quality of the engineering work and steers accordingly.

Description/Tasks:

- Assume the Engineering Project Ownership,
- Manage Additional Work Requests to the Engineering Work Packages
- Analyze the technical, financial, schedule and quality impact of the request
- Perform general coordination of all engineering activities on an Aircraft Completions, Refurbishment or Research Project by planning, monitoring and supervising these activities in terms of workflow, schedule, efficiency, cost and risk
- Improve communication between all project’s stakeholders maximizing the benefits of teamwork
- Act as a focal point for the Project Manager, managing all engineering-interfaces and communication, representing project-specific engineering department interests towards general management, production, and central functions
- Organize and lead Project Engineering Team Meetings
- Manage cross-department subcontracting
- Support the decision-making process by providing timely reports as required

Qualification/Experience:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (preferably Aviation)
- Project Management Professional Qualification (Preferable)
- At least 10 years of experience in an engineering job after university (with Master’s Degree) or 15 years of experience (after Bachelor’s Degree)
- Demonstrated Leadership and Project Management skills
- Working knowledge of the Aviation Regulations (EASA and/or FAA)
- Fluent in English (written and spoken), German and/or French would be beneficial
- Set-up, management, monitoring, controlling large projects of high complexity
- Professional Qualification in Project Management advantageous
- Activity monitoring, controlling, coordination, or follow-up within interdisciplinary and intercultural project stakeholders
- Coaching, mentoring, and negotiation ability
- Proactive, forward thinking and self-motivated team player
