As a Global Quality Manager for Process Industries, you will play a pivotal role in our mission to enhance quality and continuous improvement within our Process Industries division. Reporting to the Global Operations Manager, you will lead the Division's Global Quality Performance and spearhead the implementation of groupwide initiatives and projects. Your efforts will be instrumental in improving customer loyalty, profitability, cash efficiency, and supporting business growth. As a leader in our Quality Management team, you will be responsible for setting and driving our global strategy to enhance quality and elevate customer experience. You'll have the opportunity to shape short, medium, and long-term objectives aligned with our quality management system, quality policy, and overall business strategy. Your influence will extend across ABB's global and local organizational units, collaborating closely with senior management to innovate and enhance functional designs that boost our organization's performance. Managing the financial aspects of our Global Quality function will be central to your responsibilities, where you'll oversee budgets, optimize resource allocation, and ensure efficient operations. You'll define annual KPIs that guide our strategic operational targets, leveraging quality data analytics to identify risks, non-conformances, and areas for improvement. Working collaboratively with global and local teams, you'll drive strategic initiatives that strengthen our processes and elevate our quality standards. Your role will also encompass fostering cross-functional alignment both internally and externally, championing quality initiatives, and managing auditing processes to uphold compliance. Acting as a process owner, you'll define and refine quality-related systems and tools, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with industry benchmarks. By promoting collaboration across divisions and teams, you'll maximize results and foster a culture of excellence within ABB.
**Qualifications for the role**:
- You are a great strategic thinker and are highly skilled in developing, implementing, and documenting strategies for the system integration business and advanced product engineering markets.
- You have 15+ years of experience in engineering, sourcing operations, and managing key leadership roles.
- Possess an enhanced knowledge of quality management systems, methodologies, and tools. Industry quality management certifications are preferred but not a must.
- You have strong leadership skills, empowering and developing people, building up communities, and ensuring cross-department collaboration.
- You enjoy working with diverse cultures and have a proactive mindset focused on continuous improvement and problem-solving.
- Have a demonstrated track record in Operations, Business, Engineering, or a related field, with a BS/BA degree, and an MBA is preferred.
- You are at ease communicating in English, with excellent proficiency in both written and spoken forms, including executive presentation skills.
- You have established skills in gathering and analyzing information skillfully, visualizing results, and developing alternative solutions.
- You should have outstanding communication skills, able to inspire trust, and quickly build credibility.
