In Switzerland, Estée Lauder has the main Supply Chain hub for Travel Retail and EMEA.
To strengthen our Travel Retail operations, we are recruiting a Customs & Trade Compliance Lead based in Galgenen, Switzerland.

Position summary:
The Customs & Trade Compliance Lead cooperates closely with the Transportation Team and the Global Customs and Compliance Team. Key players in the planning and overlooking the administrative execution of all physical shipments from and to all distributions centers in Switzerland by using a limited number of partners in a transparent, sustainable and cost-efficient manner maintaining a high-quality level of the services.

Job responsibilities:

- Support the project team TREND for all related customs questions to the APAC DC
- Manages daily operational issues related to customs compliance
- Ensures free trade agreement compliance
- Maintains and updates HTS classification table
- Provides direction to Customs Compliance staff and key internal stakeholders
- Ultimate Responsibility for compliance with customs regulations (in particular the bonded warehouse, ZE and ZV license)
- Works closely with EMEA Customs & Trade Compliance Manager supporting the implementation of regional/corporate trade compliance strategy and develops, implements and maintains policies, procedures and trainings as required
- Determines necessary Customs Authorizations in cooperation with government authorities and other external parties such as Chamber of Commerce and/or Embassies and oversees the use of import and export licenses, permits, and authorizations to include data entry, processing, tracking and distribution
- Establishes reporting and electronic interfaces with Swiss/EU governments and customs agencies, acting as main point of contact for the relevant government authority

**Qualifications**
Required qualification:

- At least 5 years of experience in international trade and customs
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain or Logistics with specialization in customs
- Formal training or relevant experience in import/export, customs, compliance or similar certifications
- Extensive knowledge of Swiss and International Customs laws and regulations with solid knowledge of OZL, ZE/ZV- and stock management of a bonded warehouse
- Strong analytical capabilities, familiar with working in a complex and fast-paced environment
- Experienced in administration of transports & operation through best-in-class ERP IT Systems (SAP SD/MM), WMS
- Team player, strong communicator, able to lead change
- Experienced in conducting internal customs audits
- Creative problem-solving and analytical skills
- Full professional proficiency in English and German
