Strategic Access Lead, Eucan

Introduction to role:
Join our team as a Strategic Access Lead, where you will provide best in class expertise in market access, pricing and in shaping the external payer environment to create industry leading access solutions. You will be a part of the EUCAN & International Leadership Team, supporting the SVP, Head of EUCAN & International in defining the right ambition and working in close partnership with the Alexion and AZ General Managers and global access (GVAP) to maximise and accelerate access opportunities across our entire geographic scope. This role will be based in our Zug office in Switzerland. The global career level of this role will he confirmed in due course (Director or Senior Director level).
Accountabilities:
As a Strategic Access Lead, you will provide experience and expertise in market access across EUCAN and International. You will support the SVP, Head EUCAN & International in business and investment decisions, risks and operations evaluation. You will contribute to the market access objectives, strategies, and plans across EUCAN & International. You will also contribute to rare disease business development by assessing opportunities for market expansion and ex US commercialisation deals sourced by Business Development organisation.
Essential Skills/Experience:
- At least 10 years of relevant pricing & reimbursement work experience in international multi-lingual, and cross-cultural pharmaceutical/biotech industry. Rare disease experience preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to articulate a compelling vision and drive the implementation of mid to long term value and access strategies.
- Proven track record of driving business performance through effective negotiation and positive collaboration with relevant internal and external business partners.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to lead through changing priorities, deliverables, and timelines.
- Experience in successfully leading diverse teams through the matrix.
- Strong ethics and integrity, enterprise approach, acts as a role model.
- Proficiency in English both written and oral mandatory - any other language would be an asset.
- Bachelors or equivalent degree is required
Desirable Skills/Experience:
- A graduate degree or equivalent experience (MS, MPH, MPP, MBA, JD) is strongly preferred.
