The Opportunity:
We are looking for a motivated Junior Accountant to join our Finance Department reporting into the Financial Controller Manager.
In this role, you will ensure accounting and tax compliance, by owning the full Account Receivable cycle. Your responsibilities in this important area of finance, will exposure you to various business teams, including Sales, Pricing, and Services teams, ensuring timely billing of our customers, and accurate accounting of our revenues (IFRS compliant).
Additionally, you will also have the opportunity to support the Financial Controller Manager on various month end close activities, and on various finance projects (as and when required), which includes growing the capabilities of the Accounts Receivable function to oversee the full FNZ Switzerland business.
Main Responsibilities:
- Accounts Receivable cycle, including:
- Support, drive, educate Sales teams in pipeline, opportunities management and contractual review;
- Manage billing contracts (New/AddOn/Renew), ensuring all relevant KPIs and pricing elements are correctly captured;
- Revenue recognition, billing/invoicing;
- Customer chasing for overdue balances;
- Issue intercompany invoices and being involved in the intercompany reconciliation process;
- Support the Financial Controller Manager for the monthly, quarterly financial close and other supporting activities;
- Support in the audit process of Group entities;
- Support the Finance team in driving ad-hoc projects/initiatives in accounting, tax areas, including the integration with other group entities.
**Requirements**:
- Degree or studying towards a qualification in Accounting/Business/Economics or in a similar field;
- At least 1 year of work experience in similar finance roles (audit or corporate experience preferable);
- Excellent excel skills, creating and using formulas, using pivot tables and lookups;
- Accurate data entry with strong attention to details;
- Able to work autonomously with limited supervision;
- Positive ‘Can Do’ attitude;
- English and Italian business proficiency, French is a plus
