The person, reporting to the Swiss Finance Manager, will contribute to the accounting closing of the different Swiss, Italian and UK entities of the Group and will oversee general accounting operations by controlling and verifying the financial transactions.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Reconciliation of general ledger accounts and other GL accounts
- Perform accounting analyses and reporting to support decision-making purposes.
- Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures
- Maintaining and reconciling fixed assets schedules
- Support month-end and year-end closing process
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
- Ensure compliance with GAAP principles
- Liaise with the Finance Manager to improve financial procedures
- Support the finance manager in the preparation of the several annual statutory financial statements
- Assure tax compliance and respect of tax deadlines
- Assist with tax audits and tax returns
- Interact with internal and external auditors
**Qualifications** Essential**
- Certificate or Degree in Accounting/Business/Economics or in a similar field
- At least 2-3 years in a similar role and/or in an audit firm
- Fluency in English and Italian
- Good Office knowledge
**Desirable**
- Experience in travel agency accounting and tax legislation
- Experience with Microsoft Navision (NAV) ERP software
- Experience in one of the big4 audit firms will be considered a plus
