**Your mission**

As a technician in the Sample Handling and Sensing sector, you will support all activities in Life Science Technologies with a focus on liquid handling, automation (including embedded software) and micro-fabrication. Within the strategic goals of the section, you will contribute to the development of disruptive technologies. You will be responsible for the development of subsystems, laboratory testing, performing measurements, analyzing and documenting results.

**Your responsibilities**
- Planning, building, and testing prototypes using common prototyping platforms (BeagleBone, RaspberryPi or Arduino).
- Execution, plausibility check and evaluation of measurement series
- Process optimization
- Creation of process documentation
- Setup and procurement of equipment
- Commissioning devices and systems.
**Your profile**

**Know-how**
- Completed education as a programmer, physics lab technician, microtechnician, machinist or mechatronics technician
- Programming skills (Python, C/C++, C#, Matlab)
- Knowledge of small single board computers (Arduino, Raspberry Pi, Beagle Bone)
- Knowledge in setting up laboratory setups and general measurement techniques
- Experience in the use of Linux and / or Android based systems
- Preferably experience with fluidic systems
