Procurement Manager, Direct Materials

Our client, a global biopharmaceutical company based near Neuchatel, is looking for a Procurement Management - direct raw materials for a 7 months mission (can be extended).

Reporting to the Associate Director, Site Procurement Leader at the site, the site Buyer will lead the local sourcing efforts for all Direct Raw Materials, Packaging Components & Device related activities. This position will maintain strong alignment to the manufacturing network strategy and initiatives, support the business with close partnership with the site management team, and engage closely with any appropriate sister sites within the GPS network to ensure best value for individual site and network. The Site Procurement Buyer must display excellent communication skills to all internal stakeholders, senior leadership and suppliers.
- Maintain continuity of current Good Manufacturing Procedures (cGMP) Direct material supply for manufacturing operations at the Boudry facility by managing suppliers and engaging directly with site stakeholders as well as global teams.
- The Strategic Sourcing & Procurement (SS&P) Buyer Boudry, will manage procure to pay transactions, enforce policies and internal controls, and provide support for end-users in addition to managing vendor relationships and interactions.
- Will work closely with internal stakeholders within the Business Units, Procurement, Supply Chain, Payables and other Finance/Admin functions to ensure a seamless Source to pay business process, while providing a high level of customer service.
- Lead Boudry and Region-based efforts for standardization of raw materials and consumables and drive delivery of cost savings including alternate/secondary sourcing of materials for cost savings/avoidance for all categories category.
- Supporting Supply Chain in P2P program including: order confirmation, change requests, material master updates, expedites and RMA’s.
- Collaborates with Supply Chain Planning stakeholders to understand and analyse consumption of materials, monitor deliveries with suppliers for deliveries arriving close to need by dates and expedite as required.
- Negotiate deliveries with suppliers and escalate as needed through Procurement when deliveries are not aligned to support production needs.
- Investigates, resolves and records problems such as invoice discrepancies, damages, over shipments, etc.
- Contract management, creation of legal documents and templates, supporting LOIs, SOWs and MSAs across the site and network
- Experience in pharmaceutical industry is mandatory.
- Good knowledge of raw materials, capital projects and indirect materials.
- Strong customer service orientation
- Experience in SAP Procurement module
- Very good knowledge of English
