We are looking for a Strategic Iniciatives Manager for our International Division. This job position will be a key role at Alpiq, where you would have the opportunity to enjoy a multinational and dynamic environment, working with people from all across Europe and which will allow you to have wide knowledge about how the energy sector works in different countries.

You will report directly to our Head of Division International, allowing you to create a huge network across Alpiq and helping you to widen your strategic and technical skills and growth both professional and personally.

**Your main responsibilities**
- Support the Head of Division International with the implementation of strategic initiatives.
- Step in when projects or departments need support to deliver their objectives or when interfaces between departments inhabit progress.
- Prepare decision making documentation (EB and BoD).
- Support the preparation of internal and external communication material.
- Connect colleagues across the organization to enable cross-departmental, cross-local cooperation and learning.
- Assess multi-disciplinary challenges bringing together financial, strategic and operational considerations.
- The role will have high visibility in Division International and across Alpiq and provides an opportunity to get an excellent insight in the company.

**Your qualifications**
- Preferrable 1 year at least at Alpiq, with strong track record (supported by internal references)
- 2-8 years of work experience, knowledge of energy markets, finance or consulting is valued.
- Proven affinity with implementing and delivering change.
- Track record in assessing complex business challenges and defining implementable solutions.
- Fast learner not reluctant to step up and contribute also in partly unknow challenges and environments. Expert business analysis skills, along with good communication abilities so he/she can manage internal relationships across functions and promote cross cultural cooperation.
- Advanced level of English and advanced level of a second language (French, Italian, German, Spanish, Hungarian).

The role will require frequent travelling (once-twice a month for multiple days and in addition frequent presence Alpiq’s office in Olten), depending on personal preferences temporary relocation can be discussed. This role is for a period of 6-24 months with a mutual ambition to ensure a challenging next role in Alpiq.
