The corporate marketing and communications team are currently seeking a **Marketing Associate** to contribute to the planning and implementation of the corporate sponsorship strategy. The post holder will co-ordinate MDPI’s corporate sponsorship and presence, in relevant live, hybrid, and virtual industry conference, events and meetings.

This position presents an opportunity for a highly organised personal with excellent communication skills to work collaboratively with the corporate marketing and communications team to secure and manage suitable corporate sponsorship, participation and engagement opportunities to promote MDPI and advocate for open science. The aim is to improve brand reputation, foster collaboration, partnerships, innovation and knowledge exchange within the industry.

**The marketing associate will**:

- Research and identify opportunities for corporate MDPI sponsorship, presence, participation and engagement.
- Be responsible for the administration and management of corporate sponsorship contracts, agreements, and reporting in line with the corporate sponsorship strategy.
- Collaborate with the corporate marketing and communications team to coordinate marketing, presence, participation, activation and engagement materials, resources and activities for corporate conferences, ensuring consistent branding and messaging.
- Manage MDPI delegate attendance including travel, pre-event briefing materials, agendas, ad-hoc meetings, participation and engagement etc.
- Be responsible for the collation of sponsorship event summaries and relevant data.
- Consider and recommend quality improvement actions to improve the operation and impact of the corporate sponsorship strategy.
- Build partnerships and relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to budget management.
- Oversee marketing materials in our Basel office.

**Skills and Experience**
- University degree in marketing, communications, or similar.
- Experienced in project and program management; certification advantageous.
- Exceptional attention to detail and effective communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Prior event experience.
- Previous experience in scholarly publishing would be desirable.
- Excellent English language skills (written and spoken)
