BMS is entering a significant phase of international expansion. We are evolving from a developed market centric approach to a broader global perspective, as we seek to maximize our global presence. Our mission is to discover, develop and deliver innovative medicines that help patients prevail over serious diseases
Fundamentally, this position, in collaboration with BMS LMIC Commercial and VAP groups, is to identify new LMIC countries where BMS can expand access to key BMS medicines, lead the expansion projects, conduct a thorough assessment of the required medical affairs capabilities in all operating models and, if the expansion strategy is approved, to coordinate and partner with other teams for the execution of this strategy.
This position will play a critical role in
- leading the medical strategy in LMICs countries,
- designing the medical support,
- planning execution and resources
- identifying appropriate channels to disseminate medical education, safety data and medical information
- coordinating medical goals, objectives with all stakeholders (Market access, commercial, legal, Compliance, PV, MI.) and presenting to Sr. Management for ‘go, no-go’ decision and provide resource recommendations
- Define Medical criteria for LMIC countries selection where BMS can expand access to key BMS medicines
- Analyze treatment landscape related to products in scope
- Oversee and support decision making of products to be provided for each country
- Map products’ Indications tailored to the local unmet need
- Oversee development & update for LMIC product value profiles
- Define criteria for accounts/Hospitals selection in LMIC countries
- Oversee the evaluation and validation of accounts/hospitals for healthcare capabilities
- Evaluate the medical risk/barriers prior to entering the country
