Chemistry R&d Technician

Short-term contract (8 months, from Jan 2025)

**The Role**

In this role you’ll be joining a research team in a state-of-the-art innovation center notable by its dynamic entrepreneurial spirit. You will be working along with Senior Ink R&D Chemists / Scientist in the development, formulation, characterization and testing of prototype inkjet inks.

You’ll have an opportunity to work in a multicultural environment across the Markem-Imaje organization, you will interact with Engineers and others throughout the organization for high value integrated solutions. You will run various, cutting-edge instrumentation and provide data and recommendations for the next steps based on the results.

**What you will do**:

- Design and independently execute standard product development and/or research methods, protocols, and procedures.
- Operate printing equipment of varying complexity.
- Work in a manner that is safe to yourself and coworkers; follow established company rules and regulations.
- Maintain lab area and equipment in a clean and safe conditions.

**What you need to have**:

- CFC in Chemistry with a first experience in the industry or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry
- Passionate about technology, strong technology culture
- Must be analytical and have experience working/solving complex problems
- Exercise judgement in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
- Excellent oral and written communication
- Good knowledge of English and fluency in French (is a plus)
