**The Role**:
The role is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly expanding Organization in the biotech Industry. Reporting to the Vice President, Commercial Supply Chain, you will make an immediate impact to our Supply Chain team by managing Moderna’s supply chain in the Middle East and Eastern Europe. Being accountable for the Supply Chain Operations in the assigned countries, you will be a Strategic Business Partner to the respective Lead Teams driving customer service and performance maximizing value to internal and external customer. Aligned to this, the Director Supply Chain will ensure that demand & supply plans are being created, maintained, and delivered for in-market and new product introductions in collaboration with commercial planning, finance, and others.

To be successful the individual combines supply chain expertise with strong communications skills and works collaboratively in a highly cross functional environment. He/she will quickly build relationships influencing across the Moderna ecosystem to drive competitive advantage, costs effectiveness and robustness of Commercial Supply Chain processes

The Position provides an opportunity to operate in a highly collaborative role with both external and internal partners.

**Here’s What You’ll Do**:
Leads the Supply Chain Team by supporting, coaching, mentoring and developing team members in reaching supply chain, quality and business objectives.

Proactively and continuously challenge the organizational performance and develop and implement improvements in organizational performance

Act as a strategic business partner and representative for CMC establishing strong working relationships to ensure alignment on objectives and results

Engage Commercial business leaders in resolving strategic demand/supply issues through in-depth analysis and marketplace assessment to understand the risk/benefit tradeoffs between various approaches and opportunities

Ensure quality and completeness of demand signal and act as a strategic business partner and representative for CMC on commercial projects, launches and initiatives

Responsible for logistics and distribution operations within a country/cluster, including transportation, customs clearances, and warehousing

Responsible for an effective relationship management with customers and with Logistics Service Providers for all supply related matters, such as order management and in
- and outbound logistics to guarantee high customer service levels

Ensures regular communication e.g. thru Demand and Supply Review Meetings or Coordination Committees with external Partners for the purpose of sales and operations planning.

Warrants compliant implementation and execution of third party Agreements

Manages Order fulfillment and ensures effective management of the customer interface from a supply chain perspective, incl. communication on sales order, deliveries and issue resolution

Develop strategic plans for replenishment to market and key customers

Ensure customer service levels meet or exceed targets

Lead innovative thinking and foster continuous improvement across S&OP processes/ activities

Drives appropriate CMC Management Reporting and ensures decision making by leadership team.

Accommodates ad hoc tasks which are necessary to achieve the business objectives of the unit and function

**Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table**:
BS/BA in Supply Chain, Science or Economics/Finance with 15 years’ experience.

Excellent understanding of the Pharma industry & In-Country supply chain needs strongly preferred (Vaccine experience a plus).

8+ years’ supply chain management experience within Pharma or other Lifesciences manufacturing environments.

5+ years experience of managing supply expectations, sales order fulfilment and issue resolution with customers

Working knowledge of in country supply chain processes including order fulfilment, demand management, S&OP, procurement, master data and life-cycle management.

APICS/ASCM CPIM and CSCP accreditations preferred.

Outstanding communication skills (verbal and written) to collaborate in a dynamic, cross-functional matrix environment - you are outgoing, communicative, and seek to build relationships on a daily basis

Intercultural experience and ability to act in a complex and rapidly changing environment

You drive for results - you set a high bar for yourself and others. You love what you do, and it shows

Demonstrated ability to lead across boundaries (functional and cultural) and form effective working relationships with colleagues.

Customer and business focused - determined to deliver successful outcomes in a cost-effective way.

Ability to manage multiple countries in a fast-paced environment

Demonstrated change management and process management experience is preferred
