ORGANIZATIONAL UNIT
The Telecommunication Development Bureau (BDT) is responsible for the organization and coordination of the work of the Telecommunication Development Sector (ITU-D) of the Union which deals mainly with ICT-focused development policies, strategies and programmes, as well as technical cooperation activities, to promote digital inclusion and drive digital transformation at community, country and regional levels. To effectively and efficiently serve the needs of ITU members, BDT is organized into four functional areas:
- Office of the Deputy to the Director and Field Operations Coordination Department
- Partnerships for Digital Development Department
- Digital Networks & Society Department
- Digital Knowledge Hub Department
**TERMS OF REFERENCE**:
Under the supervision of the Cybersecurity coordinator and Women in Cyber project manager, the interns will be key in the successful implementation of these programs, from planning to online event management and post event follow-up. More specifically the interns will:
- Provide general support and project management to the programme leads
- Assist the team of Women in Cyber in the planning and implementation of the third edition of the Women in Cyber Mentorship Programme.
- Support the implementation of Her CyberTracks pilot, notably with the development and delivery of trainings, career development materials, and organization of networking meetings and related events.
- Support coordination, communication with and between mentors and mentees, (matching, arrange meetings/conference calls, note taking/summaries, follow-ups/reminders, newsletter)
- Support the communications function by drafting news-pieces, presentations and updating/editing of event collateral. Maintenance and editing of online program and events (collect bios, profile photos, sponsor's logos, company profiles, quality checks, etc.)
- Support tasks related to the development of content and collection of data for current projects and initiatives.

Organizational skills, event organization, communication, team work.
**QUALIFICATION REQUIRED**:
**Education**: University degree or an equivalent level of education in a relevant field.
**Experience**: No work experience required.
**Languages**: English (French and/or Arabic would be an advantage).
**REMENURATION INFORMATION**:
**Please note that a non-remunerated Internship position at ITU does not carry the same conditions of employment as a Short-term or a Fixed-term position. Mandatory Medical Insurance, travel expenses, accommodation and living expenses are the responsibility of the interns or sponsoring institutions.**
