After School Care Assistant

To complete our team, we are looking for an:
**AFTER SCHOOL CARE ASSISTANT (sick leave replacement)**:
**Part-time: 13 hours per week **(Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday : 15:00-17:15 - Wednesday: 12:00-16:00)
**Responsibilities**:
- Greeting children and checking that all children registered for the day are present.
- Maintain an accurate record of student attendance which should be submitted to the daycare supervisor.
- Distribute snacks to children registered for this option.
- Organize and participate in scheduled activities.
- Ensure adequate supervision of children.
- Ensure that children participating in other after school activities are in the designated area.
- Ensure that children leave the centre only with authorised persons.
- Provide first aid or alert the nurse if necessary.
- Phone parents if pupils need to be picked up following an accident or illness.
- Send weekly reports to our cafeteria to ensure that the right number of snacks and hot meals are given to the children in the extra-curricular activities.
- Three years of experience working with young children.
- Interest, experience and demonstrated initiative in developing/organizing enjoyable, creative and playful activities with young children.
- Fluency in English and French.
