My client is a world leading travel retainer in Basel, Switzerland. They are looking for a Global Applications SOA/Integration Architect for their offices in Basel. My client is requesting highly skilled individuals with at least 3-5 years of experience with distributed systems and service oriented architecture. **Your mission**:

- Manage a team of Tech leads within the clients Corporate Application department
- Working alongside the Executives in Corporate Applications to discuss the art of possible from a tech perspective and deliver forward thinking solutions for the clients group.
- Set technology strategy and coding standards across the organization's core platforms
- Create business process models and taxonomy of IT backbone services to achieve the right level of service granularity
- Provide technical and thought leadership in the Global Technology Services team-wide architecture governance and standards committee
- Build technical credibility and quickly become the "go to" person
- Be a change agent leading IT agile and microservices transform, aligning IT domain to the greater enterprise architecture goals
- Work with Operations, Support and SWAT teams to recommend architecture improvement
- Responsible for the IT Corporate Applications Commercial Platforms domain reference architecture

**Your profile**:

- Experience architecting, developing and supporting large scale, distributed systems
(been there, done that) and service oriented architecture (SOA)
- Experience working in an agile scrum environment and be actively involved with
development teams (no ivory tower architecture)
- Experience with Adaptive architecture governance at scale
- Hands on experience with Domain Driven Design, Microservices or Service Oriented
Architecture
- Well versed with architecture process and tooling
- Customer and quality focused, seeking feedback to improve architecture
- Change and futuristic mindset
- Love of learning. Keeping up with the latest industry trends and implementing them to the
Group's benefit
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to present to varying
audiences from C-level through technical engineers
- Fluent English, German would be a plus
