**Role Description**

An SAP Presales Business Architect translates the customer’s business strategy based on their current business model, constraints and priorities into a business process focused roadmap for SAP solutions. As a Business Architect, you will lead the SAP Account Team in complex engagements using your industry knowledge, technical knowledge and understanding of the customer’s business requirements. This role requires that you compliment independent research with executive level conversations with the customer to gain deep insight into their strategy. Using this knowledge, you will map end-to-end Solution Positioning to the Business Impact realized by SAP solutions. Working with the Account Team you will drive accuracy and completeness of the Bill of Materials.

The Customer Experience (CX) Business Architect (BA) is part of the MEE Presales organization. The role requires, but not limited to, an excellent knowledge of the CX product portfolio, deep understanding of digital business transformation and customer experience practices, trends and tools. As our customer’s expectations are changing from a traditional vendor approach of evaluating software to trusted business expert, the Business Architect works with the account to ensure we have a clear understanding of the customer’s vision. The Business Architect serves as a single-point of expertise on customer-experience trends in business process and technology, the CX portfolio roadmap, and business transformation.
**Responsibilities of the Business Architect**

The Business Architect role requires both excellent knowledge of the CX product portfolio, deep understanding of business transformation and customer experience trends and tools. This unique set of expertise enables the BA to be the trusted partner to both our sales team and our customers on strategic opportunities. It is expected that the Business Architect’s division of duties is about a third helping the customer to create a marketecture of their vision, a third translating the business needs of their industry to our solutions, and a third showing the customer how data would flow within their systems.

You will work on customer key engagements that are focused on the following areas:

- End to End Solution Knowledge & Positioning
- Trusted Advisor to Sales - strong business /industry acumen
- Excite the Customer
- Define a Creative / Innovative / Visionary customer story
- Definition of an SAP CX Roadmap
- Incubate selected innovations and initiatives
- Translate complex business scenarios into transformative deals

Account Planning \ Business Development:

- Brainstorm with sales organization and Customer Solution Directors on potential CX opportunities within their territory (Strategic Accounts)
- Research account and industry, understand the SAP solution scope and possible customer needs in context of the customer strategy.
- Engage with the executive management of the customer to fully understand their corporate strategy.
- Drive pipeline by translating customer vision into SAP CX product opportunities, ultimately providing a roadmap and best practice set for how to consume SAP CX technology.
- Creation of assets that can be used across our customer base on topics of business transformation and technology transformation

Deal Support
- Design architecture that meets customer needs and is supported by multi-solutions
- Deliver and support business process and business model innovation workshops (Design Thinking)
- Discover business needs, map solutions and explain business impacts to Executives
- Drive the business transformation discussion with the customer (Why, What and How) to accelerate the overall CX acceptance within the customer organization
- Act as the solution owner of the CX soltuions, understanding and proliferating its capabilities at a business marketecture level. Present SAP technology to business users.
- Engaged throughout the customer engagement lifecycle and is an integral member of the account engagement team.
- Work with the account team to ensure the delivery of the upfront SAP CX value proposition that encompasses both technical and business value points
- Monitor impact of Presales Specialists, ensuring consistency of win themes and overall messaging in customer interactions/demos and provide feedback to the Presales team.
