For our site in **Meyrin, **we are looking a **Buyer (M/F/d).**

**Summary**

The incumbent will be part of the **Corporate M&M Direct Procurement** team. The job should be focused on the supply management of raw materials and contract manufacturers; development of strategic sourcing plans to improve competitive position and to achieve Business goals; collaboration with business stakeholders in the establishment and execution of sourcing strategies; continuous improvement in the commercial relationship with suppliers.

**Key aspects of the role**:
Work with businesses and other supporting functions to fully understand business needs and search/develop/select reliable suppliers to deliver (with high reliability) quality products at lowest possible cost to** DuPont**. This includes not only cost reduction and supply reliability improvement, but also Business growth and innovation projects.

The position requires the capability to analyze, understand and interpret market dynamics and drivers, supplier capability and constraints, quantity leverage, regional regulations, and best sourcing practices to develop and implement supply strategies to achieve long term competitive advantages for the business.

Effectively utilize Global Procurement processes, procedures and tools to achieve Procurement functional goals and corporate governance requirements, whilst delivering business needs. Have a disciplined approach to ensure system data remains accurate, up to date, and consistent.

Develop, negotiate, implement and manage Supply Agreements through understanding:

- implications of contract language
- DuPont demand forecast and critical growth objectives
- Quality, responsible care, regulatory and supply chain requirements
- DuPont and general market price history and drivers

Manage supplier performance. Work with Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and other functions to ensure suppliers deliver high performance levels at or exceeding expectations. Develop Supplier Relationship Management to instill continuous improvement approach, maximize value generation, and minimize supply risk.

**Your Qualifications**

**Experience and education**:

- A university degree (technical based preferred but not essential) is required with at least 3 years of sourcing, manufacturing, operations or business experience
- Experience in managing Contract Manufacturers (tollers) is highly desirable
- Experience in sourcing of chemical materials is highly desirable.
- High ethical standards.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Good communication and smooth relationship skills (internal clients, external suppliers).
- Proficiency in English language is a must. Ability to communicate in German language is desirable.
- Experience in managing Contract Manufacturers (tollers) is highly desirable.
- High degree of competency in data and value analysis, combined with excellent IT skills. MS-Excel knowledge of Macros is highly appreciated
- Good understanding of Legal fundamentals (as relates to contracts).
- High level of understanding of Supply Chain fundamentals and the integration with Sourcing.
- Good understanding of Finance fundamentals.
- Good understanding of Regulatory requirements.

**Travel requirements**:
Periodic domestic and international travel may be required.
