Overview of Role

As a key member of our audit team, you will play a crucial role in conducting independent audits, building on your existing expertise in risk management, compliance and internal audit methodologies. Your responsibilities will include performing audits independently, under the guidance of Senior Internal Auditors, after a comprehensive introductory phase.

Your ability to work autonomously and collaborate seamlessly with Senior Management will be pivotal. We are looking for an individual with sound judgment, capable of escalating sensitive matters to the relevant Head of Audit when necessary.

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct planned audits in an efficient and effective manner and in compliance with departmental standards under the stewardship and supervision of more senior colleagues
- Highlight issues of concern covering a wide range of risks, including security, policies, operational practices, project management and controls
- Identify solutions and recommendations to mitigate risks identified
- Attend meetings to agree action on audit findings and recommendations
- Draft concise audit issues and reports in English
- Follow-up on audit issues and recommendations until their effective closure

Experience, Skills and Competencies Required
- Minimum 2 - 3 years of successful experience in a similar role, preferably within a Big Four Company or in Wealth Management or Private Banking
- Tier 1 University degree holder (Bachelors or equivalent and above)
- Ability to build professional relationships that add value to internal clients and stakeholders
- Thorough understanding of the banking business environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels
- Ability to plan, organise, and prioritise work effectively and meet deadlines even under pressure
- A pro-active approach to overcome setbacks and deliver results
- A positive and flexible attitude with the ability to demonstrate initiative, attention to detail and reliability
- An interest for the management and analysis of data
- Excellent team working skills
- A professional certification would be a plus (CIA, CFA, ACAMS, ACCA )
