**Global Process Performance Platform Manager, Cast Iron Motors (flexible location)**:

In this role, you will be accountable for the long-term profitable growth and marketing of Cast Iron Process Performance Low Voltage Motors to targeted market segments, by developing and managing it through all of its life cycle phases, according to market needs and Division strategy and targets. You will report to the Global Head of Product and Platform Management. Willingness to travel is required (up to 20%).

**Your responsibilities**:

- Analyses and tracks globally market, technology, competitor and customer requirements and trends related to the entire portfolio and determines competitive attributes, prioritization, and value proposition.
- Identifies potential gaps in portfolio, both against competition and new market opportunity.
- Owns the technical and market specification for the products under responsibility and ensures requirements are met globally and right positioning towards the market.
- Tracks and analyses product KPIs and plan appropriate measures (e.g. enhancements, cost reductions, phase-outs). Ensure compliance of portfolio with relevant standards and directives.
- Develops a strategic plan that supports profitable growth. Creates and maintains long-list of opportunities (new products, enhancements, cost savings), prioritizes needed actions and wins approval from relevant stakeholders for execution.
- Sets requirements as well as sales price and cost targets for new product developments. Contributes to development of new portfolios by leading customer need and value analysis and marketing actions.
- Owns and approves defined product development process stage gates.
- Defines pricing strategies in preparation for new product launch, and otherwise as required.
- Develops and maintains a global reference price list appropriate to both ABB internal product positioning strategy and competitor offerings and ensures this is developed and deployed to reflect the needs of individual markets.
- Initiates and drives product market communication strategy, including product launch planning and implementation. Ensures clear communication of product value proposition and positioning to channels and users.
- Manages different channel to market scenarios in coordination with channel partners and Marketing & Sales to ensure best market coverage.
- Initiates creation of external and internal product training modules and programs to ensure product values, positioning and sales arguments are fully understood by the front-end and relevant partners.
- Acts as interface between external market and internal functions (e.g. Sales, Operations, and Research & Development).
- Sets targets and monitors product costs, giving inputs to operations functions (e.g. Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Production) to maximize competitiveness and profitability.

**Your background**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business Administration.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Product Management, Sales, Engineering or Marketing.
- Good knowledge of low-voltage motors, low-voltage motors markets, customer needs and portfolio.
- Knowledge of standards and regulations related to IEC LV Motors.
- Ability to lead market and portfolio analysis, derive insights and identify and prioritize strategic options.
- Strong results orientation and analytical thinking.
- Good influencing and negotiation skills, ability to lead without authority.
- Ability to develop strong international network within the organization and collaborate with key stakeholders.
- Fluent written and spoken communication skills in English.
