To strengthen our Life Sciences team, we are immediately looking for an** Intern Data Engineering with Life Sciences Background - (M/F/d)** for a **period of 6+ months**.

**Bring to life what's next**:

- Collaborate with the team to develop effective and engaging presentations for clients.
- Develop storylines that effectively communicate complex data analysis to a non-technical audience.
- Work with team members to create compelling data visualizations that support the storylines of presentations.
- Build and maintain data pipelines and workflows using programming languages such as Python, R or Java, and related tools such as Airflow, Luigi, or Jenkins.
- Develop and maintain scripts to automate data processing tasks.
- Collaborate with data scientists and data analysts to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and quality.
- Build and maintain data storage and retrieval systems (e.g. data warehouses) to enable efficient data management.
- Assist with data cleaning, processing, and analysis tasks as required.
- Assist with the development and implementation of data management and governance frameworks.
- Continuously evaluate and improve presentation and storyline effectiveness based on client feedback.
- Participate in team meetings and collaborate with team members to ensure timely and effective project delivery.

**Your qualifications**:

- **
Academic excellence**: currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in Life Sciences, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, or related fields.
- ** Consulting experience**: previous experiences in consulting favorable.
- ** Conceptual talent**: strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- ** Communication and presentation skills**: fluent in English (written and spoken). German (Zurich/Basel) or French skills (Lausanne/Geneva) mandatory (C1 level). Strong communication skills and proficiency in presentation software such as PowerPoint, Prezi, or other relevant tools.
- ** Digital affinity**: strong programming skills in Python, R. Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI is a plus.
- ** Cultural fit**: high reliability, team spirit and personal fit for a leading global management consulting firm (international orientation & openness to travel, integrity).
- ** Duration of employment**: min. 6 months
