For our client, a well-known pharmaceutical company in Basel, we are looking for an Expert Science & Technology - Lab Scientist (m/w/d).

**Background**

As Expert / Lab Scientist you will play a key role in the development of formulations and processes for parenteral dosage forms of Biologics (e.g. therapeutic proteins, conjugates and other new modalities) for clinical or commercial use.

You will be working in an international team at the headquarters in Basel and help to bring innovative treatments to patients and global markets around the word. The team is focused on pharmaceutical development of innovative liquid and lyophilisate formulations as well as robust manufacturing processes of syringes, cartridges, vials and other novel presentations including the characterization of formulations using various innovative analytical tools.

**Tasks & Responsibilities**:
- Design, plan, organize, and perform scientific experiments and specific analytical tests for biologic drug product development, processes, and stability studies, independently or with mínimal supervision
- Accurately document raw data from experiments, interpret results, and collaborate with project leads to evaluate and report findings for further planning and execution of next steps
- Actively participate in function-specific project sub-teams, contribute to experiment design, coordinate material shipments, and ensure timely delivery of samples, tools, and project-related resources
- Review and verify raw data generated by colleagues, maintain and qualify lab tools, develop or optimize laboratory methods/processes, and support compilation of scientific protocols, reports, and SOPs
- Work according to lab standards for quality, safety, health, and ethics, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure adherence to environmental protection and information security policies
- Develop and implement new technologies, take on roles in operational excellence, and proactively identify and resolve complex problems using professional concepts and creative solutions**Must Haves**:
- Qualification as Lab Scientist/Lab Technician or MSc in Life Sciences/Pharmaceutical Technology or equivalent, with focus on pharmaceutical technology
- 1-3 years of experience as a lab scientist in biotech/pharma, focusing on biologic drug product formulation, process development, and analytics, including lyophilization and packaging development
- Hands-on experience in drug formulation and analytics for biologics, especially in protein formulations and high-concentration protein deliveries; experience with mixing, filtration, and fill-finish operations
- Strong MS Office skills, digital lab tool knowledge for documentation/data analysis, and basic statistical data analysis skills
- Highly organized, able to work independently in development labs, with understanding of GLP, HSE, and data integrity requirements
- Proficient in English, strong communication skills, both written and verbal**Nice to Have**
