**Your mission**
As a technician in the group 'Biosystems Engineering', you manage the biosafety laboratories at the Swiss-Innovation-Park (SIP) center in Allschwil in an industrial-close setting. The work comprises routine workflows, such as (3D) cell culture working protocols as well as equipment maintenance and procurement of consumables/chemicals. Project work and infrastructure management require following guidelines under ISO-9001 and ISO-14001. As a team player, you communicate well between and report to the different project teams all part of the CSEM's Tools for Life Sciences roadmap.
**Your responsibilities**
Technical
- Manage laboratory infrastructure in alignment with the hosting institution (SIP Allschwil).
- Manage equipment maintenance of standardized and custom-built instrumentation in different biosafety laboratories (BSL1 & BSL2).
- Manage procurement of consumables and chemicals / biological material according to budget and work plan for CSEM internal projects part of the Tools for Life Sciences activities and in alignment with project partners.
- Conduct project work for routine tasks and establish new working protocols under guidance of experienced scientists.

- Maintain and develop internal and external network
**Your profile**
**Know-how**
- Biological cell culture (cell maintenance, handling) of 2D and 3D mammalian cell cultures, experience in microbiology is a plus.
- Well trained in the use of optical and biochemical cell analysis technologies.
- Experienced in the use of non-standard laboratory equipment, such as custom-built culture and analysis platforms, for instance, organ-on-chip devices or single-cell tools.
- Experience in hydrogel chemistry / hydrogel systems is a plus.
- Pre-experience in the use of microfluidic devices is a plus.
- MS Office proficiency and data analysis skills
- Proficiency in English required, German and / or French-speaking skills a plus
