The business intelligence (BI) function in Lonza continues to deliver high value solutions and attract more opportunities to provide insight and automate processes. Demand for data and information has never been higher, and so this role is created to offer an internship in the full end to end process of collecting, organising and managing marketing data, and then using that data to derive information we can use to make better decisions.
Key responsibilities:
- Become an active member of the Omni project team (internal project name for our Marketing Business Intelligence platform), supporting the development of BI solutions for our internal and external customers as required by business objectives.
- Proactively work with the Omni team to identify untapped opportunities for BI to have a positive impact on Lonza's business, primarily within, but not restricted to, the Marketing function.
- Drive the improvement of data quality and availability by building processes, tool and reports for all data flowing in and out of the BI platforms, and by working with internal teams responsible for respective datasets.
- Encourage innovation within the area of BI by working with other team members to develop proof of concept processes and tools that will improve the efficiency, quality and delivery time of analysis within Lonza.
Key requirements:
- Desire to work inside the marketing or business intelligence fields
- Passion for learning and being curious
- Being a great team member by contributing, listening, being creative and open
- Analytical and problem solving skills
- General IT skills (specific tools and skills will be taught by our team throughout the internship)
- English is the primary language spoken by the Omni team, and so English to a business level is required
