**What You Will Do**

As a Procurement Manager specializing in Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs), you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient supply of essential raw materials for our consumer health products. Your responsibilities will span global category management, risk mitigation, compliance management and vendor relationship management.

Manager APIs will support implementation of the Global Category API strategies, ensuring the projects are delivered on time and at the right cost.

- Develop and execute a robust global category strategy for APIs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align procurement goals with business objectives.
- Continuously monitor market trends, supplier performance, and technological advancements in the API industry.
- Understand business needs and recommend the right supply set up according to our strategies
- Ensure cross-functional alignment
- Engage and negotiate with suppliers
- Participate actively in the projects’ execution
- **Strategy Development and Execution**:

- Formulate procurement strategies that optimize cost, quality, and delivery timelines.
- Drive initiatives to enhance supply chain resilience and reduce risks associated with API sourcing.
- Implement best practices to improve overall procurement efficiency.
- **Negotiation Skills**:

- Exhibit strong negotiation skills while dealing with suppliers and contract terms.
- Secure favorable pricing, terms, and conditions for API procurement.
- **Analytical Skills**:

- Utilize data-driven insights to make informed decisions.
- Analyze market dynamics, pricing trends, and supplier performance metrics.
- **Financial Tools Familiarity**:

- Proficient in using financial tools such as **Anaplan**, **SAP**, and **MMF** for budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Drive Y-o-Y productivity and scanning for new opportunities
- **Vendor Relationship Management**:

- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with API suppliers.
- Collaborate closely with vendors to ensure timely deliveries and resolve any issues promptly.
- **Risk Management**:

- Identify and assess risks related to API supply, geopolitical factors, and regulatory changes.
- Develop risk mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions.
- **Contract Management**:

- Draft, negotiate, and manage contracts with API suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- **Regulatory Understanding**:

- Stay abreast of regulations governing APIs in regulated markets (e.g., FDA, EMA).
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and documentation requirements.
- **Supply and Demand Dynamics**:

- Maintain a thorough understanding of supply and demand dynamics in the API market.
- Anticipate market fluctuations and adjust procurement strategies accordingly.

**Qualifications**:

- Required Qualifications
- Bachelor or Master degree in: Engineering, Science (Pharmaceutical, Chemistry), Business
- 8+ years of Procurement / Supply Chain experience
- Fluent English
- Chemicals Knowledge (APIs / OTC), Procurement Knowledge - Strategic Sourcing, Supplier & industry knowledge (OTC focus)
- Strong expertise with financial tools
- Good understanding on regulatory requirements for APIs

**Desired Qualifications**
- Preferred Related Industry Experience: Broad Healthcare & Life Sciences (preferable), Personal Care or Chemical industries
