Purchasing Manager Project Procurement

Project Procurement ensure that procured direct material matches with the requirements of engineering, this includes professional management of pre-contract phase with suppliers to ensure smooth SOP and also support supplier selection through technical evaluation of supplier capability and to match specifications defined by the respective ECC. Also manages European VAVE actions defined between strategic operation, business unit and supply chain.

Your responsibilities will be to:
- Work closely with engineering competency center according to JE-PDS to understand the specification of the direct material needed in the projects; including technical, quality, timing requirements of components and tooling- Manage pre-contract phase with suppliers to ensure smooth SOP and support supplier selection through technical evaluation of supplier capability- Monitoring offers at the respective project stage to ensure valid and final offers that meet the project needs- Support and drive preparation of the make or buy decision to present relevant information to sourcing in a decision matrix tool- Negotiate and prepare all contract-frame conditions on part level- Work closely with the BUs to support and manage VAVE initiative related to all projects- Help implement the commodity strategy

Our requirements:
- University degree, preferably in the field of Engineering- Minimum 5 years’ professional experience in relevant positions in the field of Engineering, Purchasing or Project Management in manufacturing business environment- Knowledge of product development and supply chain processes and standards of the automotive industry- Experience in managing cross-functional projects in a multicultural matrix organization- Fluent English language skills- Advanced communication and negotiation skills
