The 'Climate and Agriculture' Research Group explores options for reducing agricultural greenhouse-gas emissions from soils and fertilisers and through carbon sinks. The Group investigates the opportunities and risks posed by climate change for plant production and evaluates options for adaptation. It is also responsible for the Swiss Agricultural Greenhouse Gas Inventory.

For an improved quantification of greenhouse-gas emissions from the Swiss agricultural sector, the available measurement data are collected, prepared and evaluated in terms of their representativeness. The standardised emissions data is also to be entered in international databases.

**Your tasks**:

- Literature research as well as evaluation and summarising of measurement results for greenhouse-gas emissions with relevance for Switzerland
- Preparation of measurement datasets on greenhouse-gas emissions and their entry into international databases
- Support for field measurements of greenhouse-gas emissions

**Your profile**:

- Degree in Natural Sciences
- Interest in the topic of greenhouse-gas emissions
- Programming experience, preferably with R
- Experience in processing larger datasets desirable
- Knowledge of two official Swiss languages and a very good command of written and spoken English
