In Switzerland, Estée Lauder has the main Supply Chain Hub for Travel Retail and EMEA.
Due to the strong growth of ELC we are now hiring an Operations Manager for our distribution center in Lachen (SZ).

The Operations Manager will have the ultimate operational (productivity/service/quality) and budgetary responsibility for the distribution center (DC) in Lachen with a total of approximately 200 employees, in a highly regulated environment (Bonded Warehouse, Known-Shipper, IATA-dangerous goods, etc.), managing the supervisors responsible for the areas "Warehouse/Outbound", "Picking/VAS", "Inbound/Master Data/Returns" and "Plant Logistics".

Your main responsibilities include:

- Leading the further development of the team towards a continuous improvement culture of safety & compliance, performance & agility, efficiency and cost, service and quality
- Initiating and/or contributing to the implementation of projects along the entire processchain in alignment with the counterpart(s) in the other DC’s
- Planning of employee resources to ensure an efficient and timely execution
- Reasonable compilation of order packages/waves to ensure a balanced utilization of the operation while respecting priorities at the same time
- Monitoring of the timely execution of orders and introduce corrective measures in case of deviations
- Ensuring compliance with packaging and shipping regulations (Dangerous-Goods compliance), Known-Shipper conformity (aviation authorities) and Stock-integrity (customs authorities)
- Documentation of processes, change requests and the execution of User Acceptance Tests
- Searching defining and proposing right operational solutions to cover future requirements and executes approved activities/projects professionally
- Driving innovation in concepts and solutions to strive for state of the art and cost effective logistics processes in order to support growth and cost reduction developments as well as continuous improvements
- Having a thorough understanding of the processes form the local production plant into the DC in a 24/7 operation

**Qualifications**
We are looking for someone who brings:

- Bachelor in Economics with specialization in Logistics
- 10 years of work practice in logistics with progressive responsibility and multiple years of experience in leading people
- Team building and coaching ability with a track record of organizational development
- Ability to liaise and communicate proactively with people of all sorts of backgrounds and levels
- Familiar with working in a complex and fast-paced environment
- High degree of flexibility and ability to make decisions under high pressure
- Strong interpersonal skills in terms of communication and conflict management
- Good knowledge of the MS Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Knowledge of SAP and WMS (Warehouse Management Systems)
- Full professional proficiency in German and English
