**About the position**:
The Associate Director, Connected Medication Management will be a key member of the team that is responsible for bringing new innovative connected infusion products and line extensions to market.

This role will be accountable for designing the software, firmware and connectivity strategy to accompany the customers around the globe in their digitalization journey. The ultimate objective of this role is to improve patient care by providing safe and effective connected solutions This role will provide input to product development and drives the execution of marketing & commercial plans.

**Main responsibilities will include**:
In this position you will be responsible for defining the10 year software, firmware and connectivity strategy for infusion pumps. This will involve:

- Defining an integration path with other BD products (mainly medication dispensing) and execute on BD Connected Medication Management vision
- Defining and executing on a software monetization strategy
- Defining and communicating to customer added value of identified software solutions
- Working closely and collaboratively with cross-functional teams with members in R&D, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Quality, Manufacturing, Legal, Finance and other functional areas to lead to timely project execution for line extensions and new product development.
- Developing insights through market research and analytics to inform marketing and product development decision-making, plans and activities to support the product portfolio and to define innovation roadmap
- Interacting with key external stakeholders to strengthen existing partnership or build new ones that will lead to product innovation
- Building and managing close relationships with regional teams and influencers to achieve market development goals and stay abreast of emerging market trends. Demonstrate expertise on the competitive landscape.
- The resource will manage 1 FTE; leadership-without-authority skills strongly required given BD’s matrix organization

**About you**
- A software vendor/system integrator which provides software solutions to healthcare,
- A Medical Device organisation with software portfolio or,
- The IT function of an Acute Care organisation.

In addition, you will have:

- Strong understating of the hospital environment, specifically of the interdependencies among ICU, CPOE and Pharmacy
- Experience and understanding of working in a large matrix organization.
- Fluency in English - Additional European language is an advantage.
- Already living, or willingness to move to, Canton Vaud, Switzerland.
