**About the Role**

**As Head Corporate Real Estate & Services (CRES) you will be responsible for providing Swiss Re's office environment and related services, ensuring that the mandate given by the Group Executive Committee (GEC) is executed with best practice management. You initiate, drive and implement business strategies, setting up efficient and effective procedures within CRES according to best practice standards with a strong focus on an end-to-end perspective of all processes.**:
This Managing Director position will be Zurich based and reports to the Chief Human Resources Officer & Head Corporate Services
- Direct management responsibility for 6 members of staff and a global function of circa 450
- Global oversight, thought leadership and organization of multi-faceted short to long term planning strategies in line with Swiss Re's engagement and delivery ethos
- As a leader and motivator you will implement management processes to steer and control the global division CRES, delivering transparent cost management with clear targets whilst forming clear plans to foster a culture of growth, inclusion, performance, learning and expertise within CRES.

**In this role, you will**:

- 'Lead from the front' with our three key behaviours: Take accountability, Drive simplicity, Decide at speed
- Drive, shape and implement CRES strategic priorities globally, engaging cross-functional partners to enable coordinated, effective delivery.
- Brings expertise of CRES related topics, understanding of best practices and cultivate a strong presence of specialist skills in the team
- Strategically review and reassess CRES models and plans to enable early identification trends and opportunities to act; ensure proactively feed insights back through management to help influence appropriate steering and decision making within the GEC
- Supporting an environment of growth, diversity and inclusion; actively contributing to talent attraction, development and retention
- Review and oversee all Governance and Compliance-related topics for CRES globally

**About You**:
**We would like you to have**:

- University degree (or equivalent) in business economics, natural sciences or engineering technology (MBA helpful but not mandatory).
- Languages: Excellent command of spoken and written English.
- At least 10 years in a senior managerial role in global companies (in range of functions) with leadership experience of complex matrix organisations.
- Good analytical and conceptual skills
- Broad knowledge of business processes and corporate culture across Swiss Re's businesses and Swiss Re business organization
- Proven success in change leadership
- Effective management skills and engaging leadership style
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
- High level of social competency in a multi-cultural environment (communication, assertiveness, facilitation, conflict resolution, influencing skills)
- Solid Logistics business know

- High resilience level, ability to prioritize, high flexibility
- Proven customer orientation and business acumen; and
- Proven result oriented drive and initiative.
