Asset Optimiser

At Alpiq we are currently looking for an Asset Optimiser to join us at our Lausanne office. This role is open to people of all levels of seniority and therefore also a great entry point into the fascinating world of the energy business. Asset optimization is a particularly interesting activity, as it’s one of the key functions at the crossroads between production and distribution and trading.

**Your main responsibilities**
- Ensuring Alpiq’s efficient energy production in the short and mid term
- Interfacing between Asset Management, Trading, Dispatching and Alpiq’s production partners
- Using optimisation models to propose the right production strategies for the different hydropower plants
- Contributing to the overall optimisation of Alpiq’s production portfolio
- Maintaining and improving optimisation models and tools, as well as continuously improving processes and ways of working

**Your qualifications**
- Higher Engineering Degree (university, HES, etc.) or similar
- Ideally at least two years of experience in the energy business
- Good analytical skills, including coding in Python and/or VBA
- Interest in an operational work into a dynamic trading floor
- Great communication and collaboration skills, even when under pressure
- Fluency in English and French is required, additional German skills would be a plus
- Ready to work on stand by (incl. weekends)
