**The company**
Belenos Clean Power Holding AG is a spin-off of the Swatch Group AG. Our goal is to pave the way for the industrialization of a new type of high energy density Lithium ion battery, which offers an optimal balance between safety, cost, performance and sustainability.
**Job description**
We are currently looking for an **Electrochemist **and Project Leader **interested in working within an R&D team, bringing with them valuable industrial experience, technical competence and electro-chemistry knowledge.

**Your tasks**:

- As a project leader you will be co-responsible for the development of a solid state cell for the next generation of lithium batteries as well as for the evaluation of product performance, safety and cost
- You will contribute to the development of key materials within our R&D department
- You will evaluate the potential of emerging materials under development by our academic partners or industrial suppliers
- You will follow the industry trends and battery market.

**Professional requirements**
- **You are an expert in lithium battery electrochemistry, especially for Lithium metal electrochemistry and electrolytes**:

- Ideally you have long term experience in the battery field, preferably in lithium batteries
- PhD or long and wide experience as a scientist or engineer in electrochemistry, organic chemistry, material science, solid state physics or battery related fields
- Practical and theoretical knowledge in:

- Design of basic experimental setup of electrochemical cells and batteries
- Post mortem and in-situ evaluation of cell components
- Electrochemical techniques such as galvanostatic and potentiostatic methods
- Impedance spectroscopy (EIS). ionic Conductivity and critical current density measurements (CCD)
- Advanced project management capabilities including ability to supervise and optimize team performance and to work efficiently in a multitasking development environment
- You have a high degree of autonomy

**Languages**
- You have very good knowledge of written and spoken English. Good knowledge of French or German is an advantage
