Lab Technician

**Job description**:

- Following work instructions (provided by supervisor) mix chemicals and prepare coatings
- Building and testing batteries (coin and pouch cells)
- Report analytical and electrochemical results to the respective project leader, critically analyze and discuss them
- Cleaning, installing and maintaining lab equipment, including recalibration
- Maintaining equipment records and daily work logs
- Staying current on technical and scientific advances in their field
- Organizing and storing samples in accordance with all safety and other requirements

**Profile**:

- Laboratory technician certificate; specialized in synthesis
- A structured, clean and independent way of working
- Personal initiative and strong organizational skills
- Good communication skills, culturally sensitive, enjoy working in international teams

**Professional requirements**:

- Minimum 5 years professional experience
- Very good knowledge of inorganic chemistry, separation processes (distillation, crystallization, extraction, ion exchange chromatography) and analytical methods is a plus (TLC, GC, HPLC and NMR)
- Knowledge in dealing with standard laboratory equipment such as agitated tanks, solvent extraction cells, filters, centrifuge, ion exchange columns and crystallizers
