**Location**: Zurich, Switzerland

Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zurich is located in the heart of the old town, within the main business centre, close to the city’s leisure attractions and a short walk from the shores of Lake Zurich. Set to open end of 2023, Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zurich will feature 80 guestrooms and suites and three dining outlets, comprising an all-day dining venue, a speciality restaurant, and a lobby lounge. The property is ideally placed for meetings and gatherings, and the renovation will enhance conference and event facilities, including a grand historic ballroom.

As a Bar Manager, you will be responsible for the following **duties**:

- Development of bar concepts and creation of drink menus
- Ensuring quality standards and guest satisfaction
- Set up of the bar, inventories, taking and preparing orders
- Guaranteeing smooth and guest-oriented work processes in close cooperation with all the departments of the house
- Accurate posting of all the sales in the cash register system and implementation of a correct cash register settlement
- Creation and control of duty rosters and holiday planning
- Promoting the development of employees, conducting feedback and appraisal interviews

As a Bar Manager we **expect** from you:

- Completed vocational training in the upscale hotel or catering industry, best 2-3 years of professional experience in a similar position. Ideally, through training as a bartender.
- Leadership, organizational skills and the ability to lead a team of employees from different cultures
- In touch with the latest trends in the bar and restaurant scene
- Expressiveness, open-mindedness and team spirit
- Excellent communication skills with a natural flair for conversing with guests
- High quality awareness and a sense for trends
- Excellent manners and well-groomed appearance, as well as a positive charisma
- Resilience and flexibility - your position will include night, weekend and holiday shifts
- Very good knowledge of German and English. Additional foreign language skills are an advantage.
