As a Macro Analytical Trader you will work closely with senior traders, portfolio managers and economists to analyse global macroeconomic trends, identify opportunities, and manage risk in a fast-paced trading environment. You will be responsible for generating and executing macroeconomic trading strategies across various energy commodities.

What You Will Do

As a Macro Analytical Trader you will develop and implement macroeconomic trading strategies by analysing global economic indicators, monetary policies, geopolitical events, and market sentiment to trade a variety of energy commodities and related financial instruments. This includes implementing hedging strategies to manage portfolio risk and protect against adverse market movements. You will also:

- Conduct in-depth quantitative and qualitative analysis to support decision-making and refine trading strategies.
- Monitor global financial markets continuously to identify emerging trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal research teams, economists, and senior traders to align on macro themes and trading strategies.
- Produce regular reports summarizing performance, risk exposures, and market insights.
- Track the performance of trades and strategies, identifying areas for improvement and optimising future trades.

What You Will Bring

Your extensive understanding of global macroeconomics and energy markets, combined with your excellent analytical skills and your ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights, is key for success. You will also have experience in:

- Trading platforms and tools (Bloomberg, Reuters, or similar) and advanced Excel skills;
- familiarity with programming languages (Python, R) is a plus.
- Strong risk management mindset, with a deep understanding of market risks, portfolio construction, and hedging techniques.
- Exceptional communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing market conditions and implement dynamic trading strategies.
