We are recruiting a

**Medical Affairs Manager (MAM) Immunology**

In this function you demonstrate value by partnering with collaborators internally and externally, by understanding and anticipating their needs and by translating those proactively into actions. You (co-)lead the planning and delivery of all medical affairs initiatives in a disease area to support the objectives. Next to that you will work cross-functionally to ensure the teams involved contribute optimally to their task. You will mainly focus on the disease Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE).

You stimulate the team’s contribution to the clinical development and medical evidence generation and build confidence for our products to advise clinical practice with a patient-centric approach.

You will report directly into the Lead Medical Affairs Respiratory & Immunology

**Your tasks will include**
- Responsible for integrated medical affairs plan and associated budget
- Proactively contribute medical & clinical expertise and insights to the brand strategy, for the launch (= prelaunch activities) and life-cycle management (LCM) of new & growth products
- Understand, anticipate, communicate, and address data gaps and unmet needs of external collaborators
- Act as medical reviewer for activities and promotional materials in accordance with compliance guidelines
- Collaborate closely with BU, market access, regulatory, medical information, patient safety and clinical trials unit
- Ensure accuracy of materials, research papers and other reports, and may have sign off authority
- Develop and improve professional relationships with HCPs/KEEs, professional societies and patient organisations.
- Generate product related insights by regular peer to peer visits (20-30% time in field) and provides those to relevant internal partners
- Organize and conduct medical education, scientific exchange, and advisory board meetings
- Define and deliver training on medical background of the product
- Evaluate externally provided research (ESR-)proposals as part of local review and evaluation group and support conduction of such projects according to goals set
- Provide strategic input to the MSL activities. Can take up mentorship of MSL
- Work closely with practitioners to develop the marketing direction of a brand in a market
- Ensure scientific knowledge of standard methodologies and new relevant developments are up to date

**Your Profile**
- University degree in a health-related scientific field, such as MD or PhD
- Good understanding of respiratory and immunology development and execution of medical affairs plans
- Professional experience of working in the pharmaceutical industry, preferentially as Medical Science Liaison, or Medical Affairs Manager or within Medical Affairs in one of the therapeutic areas mentioned above; experience within Clinical research will also be considered
- Detailed knowledge of the local regulatory and market access requirements related to medical affairs activities.
- Quick self-learner, ability to work in a team and independently
- Communicative competence and presentation skills
- Spoken and written German. Good knowledge of French is desired
- Very good command of written and spoken English
- High-level of scientific knowledge and ability to analyze and process clinical and scientific data
- Experience in collaborating closely with healthcare professionals
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including communicating sophisticated technical, scientific, or medical information to broad audience types
- Driving license, and willingness to drive within whole Switzerland
