Every Commute Counts Codos Foundation is a Swiss Non-Profit entity that tackles the biggest challenge of our generation, climate change.

Through gamification, the Codos Platform encourages people all around the world to shift their commuting patterns away from regular combustion engine cars, and towards environmentally friendly modes of transport.

Their app uses machine learning and AI to automatically detect the form of transport you are using whilst still maintaining your privacy. With this, they can measure CO2 avoidance compared to using a car. This CO2 avoidance is then converted via a smart contract into Codos token (ERC-20 fungible token) and automatically forwarded to the user’s wallet.

We are looking for a highly motivated, purpose driven Chief Technology Officer to join the team. You will experience a startup atmosphere and entrepreneurship in a growing team.

**Your tasks will be**:

- As Codos Foundation’s CTO, you will be responsible for implementing our new technology whilst upholding high standards on privacy and decentralization. You will be syncing technology milestones with business milestones to ensure we stay on track.
- You will provide a strategic direction with regards to technology, whilst facilitating the communication between teams.
- You will lead a highly skilled technology team with experts in backend development, machine learning and mobile development in Switzerland and abroad.
- You will lead development of a highly scalable software solution, mobile app and accompanying platform.
- You will actively contribute to architectural design decisions.
- You will drive all phases of the development cycle, from software design and implementation to the support of quality assurance and testing activities, up to the final release of software services.
- You will collaborate with the Blockchain development team on merging the Codos backend with the Blockchain Layer.

**Qualifications**:

- You are driven by our mission and want to use technology for the greater good.
- You have a background in software engineering and 3+ years of experience as a CTO or as a Tech lead with experience in Software Architecture.
- You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information technology or related fields (or similar qualification).
- You enjoy working with others and leading and mentoring teams. Your soft skills have a positive impact to the teams’ performance and wellbeing.
- You have been responsible for conceiving and developing complex and progressive software solutions.
- When it comes to your software, robust and scalable design and exceptional quality are very important to you. You find solutions to problems and are always thinking one step ahead.
- You have experience in implementation of API’s and cloud computing (e.g. AWS, GCP or Azure).
- You learn quickly and stay up to date with new technologies.
- You have great communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders
- You balance moderating and negotiating design decisions, stakeholder management and requirements engineering.
- You have good knowledge in agile methodologies and tools (e.g. JIRA, SCRUM, Kanban).
- You are highly proficient in written and spoken English.
- You are in Switzerland or have the ability to travel to Zug regularly.
- You have readiness to travel to other locations where necessary.

**Preferred skills**:

- You have built machine learning based products, which include descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, or prescriptive data-based models.
- Ideally, you have experience with typescript and mobile development
- You had experience with privacy preserving designs and implementation of secure and confidential computing environments.
- Your experience with development of a mobility tracing app software is desirable.
- You are highly interested or have participated in the implementation of Blockchain technology.
