The state-of-the-art multi-purpose manufacturing facility is designed for large-scale production of biologics and has high expansion potential. After completion of construction activities, our site in Lengnau will offer highly flexible biomanufacturing technologies, from development to large-scale production including stainless steel equipment to meet our customer needs. **Manager (M/F/d) PPI Projects Business Systems**

(Lengnau, travel expectations 10%)

The Senior Partner of PPI Business Systems is responsible for the implementation of Thermo Fisher Scientific’s Continuous Improvement Business System (PPI). In this role, you will work closely with business leadership and steering committees to establish and mature the Lean Management System (tiered daily management systems, Gemba walks, and leader standard work) and other coaching tools to facilitate the cultural transformation and achieve site goals and objectives. During the first stage of Commissioning and Qualification of the Lengnau facility, this role will support the process optimization of the multiple project processes including: systems hand-over, punch list and latent defects management, change requests.

What will you do?
- Strategy Deployment: Work with the site leadership team to identify transformational opportunities to improve the business.
- Site Engagement: Diplomatically cultivate an action-biased culture of continuous improvement to improve KPIs, in the areas of customer, finance, people and quality.
- Developing Talent: Provide support to develop lean expertise and capability within the organization at all levels.
- PPI Business System: Provide ongoing Lean support to multiple teams. Work with the expanded team to develop/promote/standardize the Business System further.
- PPI Steering Committee: Prioritize improvement opportunities and develop site deployment plan. Lead/work with functional teams to streamline processes to improve the customer experience, enable profitable growth and become more efficient.
- Daily Tiered Management: Improve the decision-making model and problem-solving capabilities within high performance teams to increase autonomy and the pace of change.

How will you get here?
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, operations or business, with evidence of operational, leadership, or professional experience. Master’s degree preferred.
- Certified Black Belt
- A Lean Expert with significant experience (5+ years) and a ‘hands-on’ track record of implementing successful TPS-based business systems including elements such as:
oLean Leadership (Daily Management, Leader Standard Work, and Gemba Walks)

oStrategy Deployment and Value-stream mapping

oKaizen events on standard work, cell design, process and product 3P, Value-Analysis/Value Engineering, error-proofing, material flow, Heijunka, and Kanban.
- Proven track record for developing, training, and coaching teams.
- Experience in capital projects is required having lead implementation of new facilities and equipment in pharmaceutical plants.
- Passion for driving improvement and leading change in a complex, global environment.
- Excellent technical skills, including demonstrated project management, organization and planning
- Great communicator, including solid written, oral and presentation-giving skills.
- High ethical standards to support a professional business code of conduct.
