**The Role**:
As Marketing Leader for the EMEAC (Europe, Middle East, Canada and Australia) region, you will own and execute the marketing strategy for Moderna’s portfolio in the region, with a primary focus on the respiratory virus vaccines portfolio (Covid, Flu & RSV, combinations).
You will be joining Moderna at a critical time for the company and its product pipeline. Moderna has developed from an R&D start-up to the provider of more than a billion of life-saving vaccines during the pandemic. Now the company is moving from a distinct pandemic model to a fully operational commercial model to launch several vaccines and other products in the coming years, while expanding geographically.
We have a unique opportunity to build up a model which is fully reflecting the uniqueness of our mRNA platform: to accelerate, personalize and democratize access to innovative prevention or treatment. Our commercial purpose is ‘to reinvent healthcare to make it personal’.
In this role, you would have the opportunity to play a lead role in building this new future, with a focus on making sure we create a commercial platform that will bring a unique and personal customer experience. Initially, you will focus on the broad respiratory vaccines portfolio, but you also will be responsible for driving and updating the long-term strategy plan for the region for the broad pipeline.
Reporting to the SVP, Head of EMEAC Region, you will be a member of the regional commercial leadership team. You will partner closely with all markets in the region and in particular, provide support and leadership to markets where an incumbent Marketing team is not yet established. As the connection with the global teams is critical, you will work extensively with Global Franchise/Marketing teams, as well as with Medical, Market Access, Government Affairs, Regulatory and Supply Chain, to ensure alignment and collaboration.
**Here’s What You’ll Do**:
Refine and execute the region’s marketing strategy for COVID-19, Flu & RSV vaccine, in partnership with the global marketing organization and the respective EMEAC leadership & the various country General Managers and Marketing Directors
Build a best in class customer experience. Help translate the customer journey into a customization of our offering and customer engagement platform for the region
Develop a digital-strategy & mindset when approaching the commercial entry of Moderna in the region and the launch of our latest Covid-19 vaccine through highly innovative platforms and new channels to effectively engage with the key stakeholders.
Provide input into the launch timelines and needs. Input into product and data requirements (TTP, Clinical trials, RWE)
Collaborate closely with the various cross functional leaders in medical affairs, market access, regulatory and supply chain being at the global, regional or country level. You’ll work with a multitude of internal and external stakeholders to drive a smooth and highly successful product launch.
Use your extensive experience in market and customer insights, marketing strategy to drive market development, brand value and differentiation, launch planning, pre-launch and launch execution.
Deliver best-practice project management oversight for all markets and support launch preparation activities in all key markets.
Drive the critical “disruptive” work to make sure we learn quickly from experiments and expand or stop
Lead the development of unique customer experience products across the region
Constantly seek to automate and digitize parts of the work to increase value to our customers and / or reduce the complexity of operations
Measure outcome, learn and improve
Inform the data need and the automation, AI usage need
Help build a successful and effective marketing footprint across the region.
Lead the marketing work in the countries where we do not have marketing presence established. Work with relevant partners where appropriate.
Build the Community of Practice within the regional marketers that help bring together cross-country efforts and make local campaigns more effective
Establish current & future competitive advantage by deeply understanding and addressing key customers needs, achieving a deep understanding of the competitors strategies and leveraging at best our clinical data strengths and brand opportunities.
Drive the ambition / Long range plan adaptation and realization
Lead the development or update of business / Investment plan
Build and implement together with the relevant stakeholders the execution of the roadmap that builds up to the ambition
Work closely with the strategic partnership lead to identify and put in place the right (digital) partnerships that will drive a different customer experience
