Arxada is looking for a Global Category Manager to lead and assume full accountability for Global Chemicals & Catalysts Products Category. This position is based in Germany or in Switzerland, remote work is possible.

Key responsibilities:

- Drive category expertise through an understanding of supply markets/trends, cost drivers and the impact to Arxada’s business model.
- Work closely with key stakeholders to develop effective sourcing strategies that enable step change improvements in quality, service, innovation and sustainable annual cost reductions.
- Incorporate knowledge of internal and external manufacturing capabilities to support make vs. buy decisions.
- Develop supplier relationships that leverage supplier capabilities, improve supply continuity and reduce total cost of ownership.
- Effectively prioritize work incorporating Operations, Quality and Business Unit requirements.

Key requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree required in Purchasing, Engineering, Chemistry, Finance or Business.
- Extensive experience in Category Management/Strategic Sourcing/Procurement including commodity management, supplier management, negotiations and contract management.
- Demonstrated skills managing priorities and project timelines in a highly complex matrix environment.
- Fluent in English and German with exceptional communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- A thought-partner, not afraid to challenge the status quo.
- Computer software skills including Microsoft Office & CRM database.
- Travel activities > 20%.
