Summary
The Commercial Onboarding Trainer is responsible for driving commercial services process and system knowledge across all hotels within the Europe, Africa and Middle East region. You will accomplish this by understanding our commercial ramp up needs, beginning with the most critical aspect of onboarding new CS Leaders, and then their commercial associates. Balancing the need for understanding our systems, and connecting how these tools help commercial teams sell stronger, increase awareness and drive demand in order to grow overall revenue for hotels. Additionally, the ability to insure competency to utilize and execute across CS functions, all while demonstrating a commitment to Empathy, Wellbeing, Inclusion and Experimentation, behaviors critical to Hyatt’s culture.
**_Responsibilities_**
- Own the content and delivery of commercial onboarding for property CS Leaders and their sales teams.
- Review current sales skills trainings and develop training path for virtual and in-person training.
- Understand and utilize sales systems, and their integration across various commercial & reservation systems, to create and deliver training for leader best practice aimed at demand generation to build a hotel sales pipeline.
- Develop and deliver content across CS functions for sales & marketing teams, while partnering with the global revenue management onboarding trainer, to form a holistic commercial onboarding program.
- Manage My Learning offerings, including enrollment, communications, prerequisites, training delivery and post-evaluations.
- Develop certification program(a) for Sales/Commercial Services.
- Identify and mentor field talent to grow in the company and retain talent within Hyatt.
- Demonstrate a commitment to Hyatt core values.
- Collaborate with fellow commercial onboarding resources across regions to align EAME programs globally.
**Qualifications**:
The primary mission for a trainer is to be passionate about hospitality sales and possess the ability to influence leaders to ensure they understand the tools and resources to drive brand contribution at their hotels. This position would need to be well versed in a hotel sales/commercial environment, understating it in the current state and ability to adapt to the various needs and types of hotels.
Your strong communication skills, critical-thinking and creative problem-solving acumen and, most importantly, empathy for teamwork will help you provide support to collaborate across many divisions and understand how to build content that will engage and give attendees the ability to demonstrate they can execute what they have learned.
In addition, your ability to manage and adapt across a diverse multi-culture environment will set you apart for the rest.
**Experience**
- Minimum 10 years of hotel experience, including sales with select and full-service hotels
- Minimum 3 years of on property director of sales or director of sales & marketing experience
- Strong knowledge of transient, group and leisure segments, along with an understanding of marketing and revenue management functions
- Basic knowledge in Marketing, Digital and Loyalty tools & programs is a plus
- Multiple hotel and brand experience is a plus
**Education**
- Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management, Sales or Business is required
**Computer Skills**
- Efficient with Microsoft Tools: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, SharePoint
- Efficient with virtual training platforms, such as Teams, Zoom, Mentimeter, Kahoot
- Proficient in Envision Sales, Detailing & Billing; TravelClick 360, Opera, Reserve and Lanyon RFP
- Knowledge of Marketing tools and Revenue Management systems is a plus
