Freight Operator Dry Bulk Cargo

**What will you be doing?**

This role is responsible for all aspects of the voyage, including PnL. From the initial instructions, cargo and bunker calculations to the hire and freight payments, followed by the finalization for dry bulk cargoes in Panamax and Handy sized vessels. During the process you will appoint agents, surveyors and port captains. You are aware of, and responsible to guard that your cargo meets regulations and legal obligations. Communication is a crucial part of the job. As a Freight operator you will be in contact with owners, charterers, brokers, Strike club and traders on a frequent basis. In this position you work in a team of 21 operators, all of which, are responsible for leading the voyage. Besides your team, you will work closely with the trade department. The position offers a lot of responsibilities and space to give input for improvement. In order to get up to speed, of course we will provide a detailed induction and onboarding.

What else do we expect?
- BSc in Logistics or technical degree;
- At least around 4/5 years of experience in a similar position, as a dry cargo operator dealing with Dry Bulk cargoes in Panamax and Handy sized vessels.;
- Sea Freight and Experience with the integrated voyage handling system (IMOS) are an advantage;
- experience is a big plus;
- Excellence in English.
