The Corporate Legal Department based in Geneva handles the company legal matters and carries out all activities directly or in coordination with legal teams located in different parts of the world. It offers legal assistance to top management on strategic decisions, supports business units both on special projects and day-by-day legal issues, reviews contracts and handles legal disputes.
- Perfect command of English (spoken and written). Knowledge of an any additional language is an advantage;
- Highly familiar with main IT office and legal tools (Word, Excel, PPT, Legal Databases);
- Outstanding verbal communication, drafting and negotiation skills;
- Can do attitude, pro-active, customer oriented, resilient, flexible, adaptable, eager to continually learn and develop professionally;
- Ability to organize, prioritize and manage deadlines, in a fast paced, rapidly evolving and demanding industry and work environment;
- Proven ability to work as part of a team in a cross-functional, international environment and communicate with people at all levels;
- Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with demanding internal clients;

You will form part of a growing legal, collaborative team based in Geneva, with other lawyers based in international offices. You will be expected to work autonomously, taking responsibility for those matters under your and your team’s control.
- Assists, taking an active part, in the management of the legal aspects of complex, strategic and high value projects, including cruise terminal development, involving construction activities and, possibly, M&A transactions and\/or governance arrangements and project financing;
- Drafts, revises and negotiates construction contracts (also based on FIDIC and AIA templates or other standards), as well as commercial contracts relating to construction projects (e.g., lease agreements, services and maintenance agreements and operations and management agreements), taking responsibility up to final delivery;
- Provides commercially focused, concise, legal advice relating to the management of long-term contractual relationships with partners, suppliers and public authorities to ensure compliance with contractual and legal framework, possibly assisting in handling contractual claims;
- Oversees dispute resolution matters (litigation, mediation, arbitration, etc.) of the assigned projects in various jurisdictions;
- Actively contributes to the legal team’s ongoing development of knowledge, skills and departmental processes and develops training materials;
- Engages and manages external counsel effectively and monitors relevant costs;
